SINGAPORE: Maybank has warned of scammers impersonating its workers over the cellphone, after receiving greater than 20 stories from clients and members of the general public since Monday (Apr 25).
In response to CNA queries, Maybank mentioned that the scammers would inform potential targets that an unauthorised account had been opened beneath their names, or that enormous sums had been transferred to a different financial institution.
